We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Estacio including the delicious coffee at the restaurant downstairs. The only reason I can't rate 5 stars is the climate control / air conditioning. It was hot when we arrived and the aircon didn't work. We asked about it, they said they needed to turn it on, then it worked that night. But over our 3-night stay, it didn't work more than it worked. We asked about it one other time and again, he said he'd turn it on. Better for a while, but soon it stopped functioning again. It was not possible for us to use outside air to cool down the room because of the noise and cigarette smoke from the street below when the window was open. With the window closed, it was quiet, but unfortunately too hot.

Hotel with modern, functional, clean, quiet and with all required rooms. Conveniently located and friendly service. On the ground floor there is a bar to have breakfast.|To give some point to improve: the wifi signal in my room was very weak, it would be nice to have hands' soap in the bathroom and for the price there could be a simple breakfast (coffee+pastry) included.|Despite these details, easily solvable, I recommend it and when back in Olot I will repeat.

Hotel Estacio is a genuine little gem. The delightful hosts (Diego and Montserrat) have little English, but more than make up for it with genuine warmth and willingness to help. The hotel is modern with simple, clean and uncluttered 'Scandi Modern' decor. Rooms overlooking the river (as we had) have a lovely view. Warm reception, great breakfast, real people.

Olot is a lovely town of 30,000 and has a few attractions but is a great base for exploring the spectacular Garrotxa region. It has tree lined avenues, volcano walk, nice parks, and great cuisine. Hotel Estacio is only one year old and is a real treat. Modern minimalist feel, very comfortable bed with the best sound and light exclusion on windows. The facilities are first rate and the most friendly service which included tourist advice was a real help. Communicating in English is often a bit limited but here it was really good. WE can highly recommend this to travellers, especially self drive tourists like us. This sounds like a review from their friends but we are Aussies touring Spain for 5 weeks

The place is renovated which is nice. The bed is good and everything is clean. However the room had only one chair. Was missing hair dryer in bathroom. Only one shower gel and shampoo for double room which was not replaced daily. The TV is on the ceiling almost so it is impossible to connect computer or Chromecast to it. With these little improvements this would be great.

Very new, ultra modern rooms with a/c, double glazing and wet-room shower. Comfortable and quiet. No parking but parking is free in adjacent streets. 500m from start of old town quarter and 300m from two restaurants, one excellent one fair. The station from which it takes its name closed many years ago so if using satnav you'll need to enter the street address to find it. Just a pity that they only have double-bedded rooms and not twins.

I thoroughly recommend this hotel. Everything seems to be new. I was in a single roon and it was very clean and the toilet/shower was excellent.
