I’ve had such a wonderful time at Galeria Escultorica! The beginner course got me hooked, I was able to create my first few pieces through this program thanks to the amazing Antonio.

Every session is full of really great pieces of advice to make significant progress in the art of ceramic making. And it’s always in a relaxed atmosphere with other students or more experienced ceramists who also use the space (which says great things about how Antonio was able to create a community of passionate people in this place).

I took a ceramic wheel course at Galeria Escultorica, and it was an amazing experience! Antonio is a patient and friendly teacher, and great at explaining the basics. I've already made many pieces that now brighten up our home. The studio is a creative haven, with opportunities to explore not just the wheel but also sculpting fun pieces like cute monsters or whatever you imagine. It's a great way to let your creativity flow. I highly recommend Galeria Escultorica to anyone looking to dive into ceramics.

Fabulous studio to learn as a beginner, and/or build new skills and create regardless of your level. Antonio, the owner and resident potter/artist, is an immensely patient and supportive teacher. He's inspiring and always eager to co-create and test new designs and techniques. As a bonus, he fluently speaks both Portuguese and English. This studio really stands out for its cozy, friendly and communal atmosphere. I've become a regular here, because I am learning so much from Antonio (both on the potter's wheel and hand building) and am enjoying the company of, and inspiration from, other potters here.

Visitei a galeria escultórica com uma amiga para realizar um workshop de cerâmica na roda e foi incrível. Para além do espaço ser de fácil acesso em termos de localização, tem um ambiente e uma energia muito acolhedora e criativa, o que nos deixa logo com vontade de criar e abraçar as propostas criativas que nos são colocadas. Importa também referir que o mestre do espaço, o António, conduziu o processo com muita delicadeza, boa disposição, e sensibilidade perante duas pessoas que não tinham experiência absolutamente nenhuma, o que nos levou a querer repetir mais vezes e a explorar criativamente outras opções disponíveis. Recomendo vivamente a quem queira iniciar o seu contacto com a arte da cerâmica e fazer a sua uma imersão num lugar seguro, cuidado e tranquilo.

Antonio has helped me demystify the art of ceramics. As I was a beginner, I was a bit anxious I could not manage to create a piece fairly quickly.
In no time he showed me tips and thanks to his patience and skills, I have managed to create pieces that we use almost every day at home.
I can’t speak highly enough of Antonio and his studio as he is able to teach beginners the basics but also, as I have witnessed it, further coached more advanced and experienced ceramists!
If you are wanting to try pottery, wheel workshop, azulejos, look no further, this studio is going to be your new past time.

L'atelier de céramique parfait! Je cherchais un espace avec un format atelier libre qui accepte les céramistes en autonomie, des heures flexibles, un lieu calme, bien géré et accueillant qui encourage la créativité de chacun. António est disponible pour conseiller et guider si besoin, avec une vrai expérience et des connaissances de pro confirmé. Il y aussi des ´workshops´ pour les débutants ou des ateliers à thème pour découvrir la poterie de façon créative ou se perfectionner.

Galeria Escultorica has recently become the reflection of our inner artistic joy:) Its our family activity destination and our meditative gateway after action packed day.
Antonio is skilled not only with the vibrant sculptures, that motivates you to create something of your own when you enter into the spacious and bright studio, he has profound ability to pass this knowledge to you (considering that wheel throwing is not that easy-peasy).
I am so thankful that Antonio helped me out to regain my long forgotten practice. Daring now to enjoy the process, while embracing the faulty pots:)
As a side note, the studio is nested into wonderful neighbourhood and the programs Antonio composes, carry ´homelike´ sense, tuned up with music.
